I walked into my first AA meeting nearly 18 years ago and a guy named Raymond was the first person to welcome me.
He always had a huge smile on his face, glad to see you, and quick with a handshake and a hug. He was one of the "Old Timers", been around for awhile.
"Do Good and Show Love" was his favorite saying, no it was his motto.
Raymond passed away the other day. He's going to missed by hundreds of people that came into the program down and out, lost and hurting, or just plain sick and tired of being sick and tired. He has left behind a legacy of sober friends because he lived "Do Good and Show Love".
